We Started With a Simple Question
Why does budget advice feel so disconnected from actual life? Back in 2018, we noticed most financial education either talked down to people or made everything unnecessarily complicated. So we built something different. A place where real conversations about money happen without judgment or jargon.
How We Got Here
Seven years of learning, adjusting, and building something that actually helps people manage their money better. Not overnight miracles. Just steady progress.
The Beginning
Started with weekend workshops in community centres. Twenty people showed up to the first one. We talked about expense tracking without spreadsheets that made your eyes glaze over.
Going Digital
Moved everything online when we had to. Turned out people liked learning from home anyway. Started recording sessions so folks could watch at midnight if that's when they had time.
Real Growth
Helped over 800 families create budgets that stuck. Not perfect budgets. Working budgets. The kind you can follow without feeling miserable about every purchase.
What's Next
Expanding our programs for autumn 2025. More workshops, better resources, same honest approach. Because financial education should support real life, not replace it with colour-coded spreadsheets.
The People Behind peroxilvan
We're not a massive team. Just two people who care deeply about making financial education accessible and practical. No corporate hierarchy. No buzzword-filled mission statements. Just honest work helping people understand their money better.
Callum Riddell
Founder and Financial EducatorSpent twelve years in retail banking before realizing he wanted to teach, not sell. Started peroxilvan to create the kind of budget education he wished existed when he was drowning in HECS debt and credit card payments.

What We Stand For
These aren't poster-worthy corporate values. They're the principles that guide how we actually work with people who come to us for help.
Our Approach
-
No Judgment Zone
Everyone's financial situation is different. We don't care if you spent too much on takeaway last month. Let's just figure out what works going forward.
-
Real Talk About Money
Financial jargon exists to confuse you. We explain things in plain English because that's how normal people actually communicate.
-
Practical Over Perfect
A budget you can stick to beats an ideal budget you abandon after two weeks. We optimize for sustainability, not spreadsheet perfection.
-
Your Life, Your Rules
We provide frameworks and education. You make the decisions. Your money should support the life you want, not some textbook definition of financial responsibility.
